3SQN LLO training with protected airfield strike

Post by Chris Putney » Mon Dec 02, 2013 9:16 am

So I went out and ran this as a single ship.

Load out was 2 x AGM-88 for the SAM threat and 2 x GBU-10 to put holes in the airfield and make it inoperable.

Starting from Queenstown NZ, I tucked into a ridge and went low level to use terrain masking that took me almost all the way down to Te Anau (target)

After running out of terrain and closing in on the target, I ascended to get the attention of the SAM and give my AGMs a target.

Great little mission. Just have to work off a 100% strike rate on the airfield. Would be great to get a 4 ship SEAD and STRIKE flights together doing this.

That's awesome! I'm just about to go up with David Inskip to do this.

Good work Chris!
